Heddal stave church | HEDDAL STAVKIRKE

You don't need to be religious to fell in love with churches.

So, do the OKKULTOKRATI boys, who have stunning artwork for their albums/merch/gigs.
It's 'genius and killer artist Sebastian Rusten' who stands behind it.
Norwegian stave churches are a hell of inspiration. This one has a real prototype.

Heddal Stavkirke located at Heddal in Notodden municipality, Norway.

Another totally hypnotizing one is Gol stave church originally from Gol.

Hope, one day i gonna make it to Norway and get impressed till the end of my days.
Russian churches have been my long-term obsessions. Especially this one – Kiži . It has been my love for many years. Shame that i cannot find time to make a trip here.

Кожи | Skins

Rig tattoos on breasts with drips of oil.
Cause oil is the new milk.
Nourishment of oligarchs.
Wow.
What a powerful symbol and a metaphor of a modern Russia!
Which is actually true for the rest of the world as well.

I am not a huge contemporary art fan but sometimes when i come across things like this i find some remnants of respect inside my head to this genre of art.
It's a piece of 'SKINS' project by russian artist Irina Nakhova.
She basically took the idea that 'tattoos tell the story of your life' and made an interesting exhibition with political angle.
If you live in London you can pay a visit to London Art Sensus Gallery where currently 'SKINS' is present.

Argument 5.45 | Аргумент 5.45

I am so lucky to follow Argument 5.45 since their first shows, watching them evolve and becoming who they are now.
Their new album 'Atavism' is just mindbending and killing me. It hypnotyzes me, it lulls me to sleep, it puts me into nirvana and back. It's what happens when really talented people collaborate.
I'm definitely going to contribute some artwork cause their music inspires me so much.
Can't avoid mentioning that the name of the band comes from soviet 5.45 bullets and some tribute to Fugazi's album 'Argument'.
It's a some sort of reality check. Unfortunately in the world that we live right now, not a reasonable argument but guns have the final say.
'Bullets have become units of communication and with time passing by only caliber changes.'
It's a motif of some russian criminal tattoos as well. My fav is this one by my so beloved Nicolai Lilin.

Just check A5.45 new album. Give love!
Meanwhile, Basilisk is one of my favourites. My relaxing song.
